Bangladesh men’s national football team started training in Cambodia on Friday ahead of their FIFA friendly match against the hosts on September 22.
The footballers had two sessions at the gym on Friday morning, before their official training session at the Army Sports Ground in the afternoon. The team will go through similar activities today.
Bangladesh team’s goalkeeping coach Biplob Bhattacharjee said that they had an eight-versus-eight match during their training to create understanding among the players.
“Today was our first training session. Everyone is well and trying to adjust to the conditions and surfaces here. We are trying to create understanding among us and set up our team for the match against Cambodia. For that, we had an 8v8 match today. I think our team is in a good shape. And I believe if the players are well, we can produce a good match and are hoping for a win,” the former Bangladesh goalkeeper said.
Bangladesh defender Tariq Kazi said they were feeling fresh and were looking forward to the game.
“We arrived in Cambodia yesterday and had our first practice session today. It’s good to get the stiffness out of our bodies. We are all feeling fresh. We are having good training sessions here. We will face a competitive team in Cambodia and it will be a great game. Looking forward to it,” the defender said.
