Syhet Strikers ropes in Mashrafe, Amir, Perera

As the first franchise of this year’s Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Sylhet Strikers named their icon players and some important foreign recruits.

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, the former captain of Bangladesh national team, is the icon of Sylhet Strikers. They also roped in Pakistan pace-bowling star Mohammad Amir along with Sri Lankan stars Thisara Perera, Kamindu Mendis and Dhananjaya de Silva.

They have announced it in their logo unveiling ceremony on Wednesday in a Dhaka hotel.Sylhet have also named Rajin Saleh, the former national team captain, as their assistant coach and Nafis Iqbal as their team manager respectively.

A total of seven teams will participate in this year’s BPL which will begin in early January 2023.
