Bangladesh Cricket Board announced the itinerary for Ireland’s full tour of Bangladesh in March, which will begin on March 18.
The series consists of three One-Day Internationals, three Twenty20 Internationals, and a solitary Test, which will be the first Test between the sides.
This tour will be after England’s tour of Bangladesh in March, which will include three ODIs and three T20Is.
The Irish will arrive in Dhaka on March 12 and will play a practice match on March 15.
All the ODIs of the series will be played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, with the matches being played on March 18, 20, and 23.
Then, the teams will travel to Chattogram for the T20I series, where the matches will be played on March 27, 29, and 31 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
This will be Ireland’s first tour of Bangladesh since 2008, where the sides played three ODIs and Bangladesh won the series 3-0. BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury said upon the revelation of the itinerary, “Ireland’s visit to Bangladesh is another exciting event in our home season after the series’ against India and England. The BCB and Cricket Ireland have a cordial and strong relationship and the two boards have worked very closely to arrange this bilateral tour despite the challenges of a busy international calendar. This is also a statement of the BCB’s commitment to the ICC FTP.”
