The seven teams of the ongoing ninth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League arrived in Sylhet within Wednesday as the action will start at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Friday.

A total of eight matches will be played in Sylhet during this phase in four days, from January 27 to January 31, before the action returns Dhaka in February.

Chattogram Challengers and Rangpur Riders trained on Wednesday, while Sylhet Strikers, Fortune Barishal, Dhaka Dominators, and Khulna Tigers arrived on that day after playing in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Sylhet, the home team for this stage of the BPL, arranged a road show on Wednesday, where the players and staff roamed the city meeting with fans, starting from the Sylhet airport to the Grand Sylhet Hotel, along with touching down popular points of the city.

Sylhet, expectedly as the hosts, will play the most matches in this phase of the tournament. They will play three matches – against Rangpur on Friday, against Chattogram on Saturday, and against Khulna on Monday. They currently top the table with 12 points from

seven games.

Second-placed Barishal, who have 10 points from seven matches, will play two matches – against Chattogram on Friday and against Dhaka on Monday.

Comilla Victorians will play both of their matches against Khulna Tigers – on Saturday and Monday.
