Dhaka Abahani Limited had a goal fest in the Bangladesh Premier League football on Friday as they put the ball seven times in Azampur FC Uttara’s net at the Rofiqe Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh.

Winger Mohammad Foysal Ahmed Fahim and Eleta Kingsley starred for the Sky Blues as they both scored hat-tricks.

This win takes Abahani to 21 points from 10 matches, nine points behind league leaders Bashundhara Kings.

Morning clearly did not show the day for Azampur as the bottom-most team of the division conceded just one goal in the first half, scored by Fahim in the 35th minute.

However, the story was very different in the second half as Abahani came all guns blazing and Azampur had no answer.

Eight minutes after the restart, Eleta Kingsley doubled Abahani’s lead before Fahim doubled his personal tally four minutes later.

Eleta then claimed his second of the match as the Bangladeshi striker latched on to Nabib Newaj Jibon’s pass to make it 4-0. Three minutes later, Jibon turned scorer to make it 5-0.

In the 79th minute, Fahim completed his hat-trick, and in the 94th minute, Eleta grabbed his too from a Rahmat Mia cross.

In the day’s other matches, 10-man Fortis FC held Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club to a 1-1 draw, while Mohammedan SC found a 1-0 win against Rahamatganj MFS.
