Bangladesh National Under-17 Women’s Football Team trained on Friday ahead of their all-important clash against Singa-pore in the AFC U17 Asian Cup Qualifiers Round 1.

Bangladesh got off to a good start to the qualifiers as they thrashed Turkmenistan 6-0 in their opening game.

Placed in Group D, Bangladesh need another win against Singapore to move on to the next stage of the qualifiers as only the Group Champion will move ahead.

Ahead of their match against Singapore, Bangladesh trained at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore on Friday morning. They will also train today at the same venue.

Ahead of the match, team manager Amirul Islam said that the team was doing well.

“Our girls are all doing well and they are very disciplined. We are doing everything required at the right time. We won the first match 6-0 and now the management is trying to keep the girls physically and mentally ready ahead of their clash against Singapore on Sunday,” he said in a video message.

Amirul was also confident of a Bangladesh win in their second match.

“As there are a lot of Bangladeshis in Singapore to support us, we want our team to play good football and entertain them, alongside the football fans of the country. I have a strong belief that we will find a win with a good margin against Singa-pore and we will try to achieve that,” he said.
