BCB announces Emerging team

Bangladesh Cricket Board announced the squad for the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup to be held in Sri Lanka in the next month.

Zakir Hasan and Mahmudul Hasan Joy were included in the Emerging team after they missed out on the recently announced ODI and T20 squads for the Afghanistan series. The duo opened for the Tigers in the latest one-off Test against Afghanistan at The Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.

The tournament is scheduled to start on July 14.

Bangladesh have been drawn into the same group of the hosts, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Oman. India and Pakistan have been drawn into the same group.
