Bangladesh High-Performance team’s camp starts today at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium at Chattogram with 22 players who travelled to the port city on Saturday.

The camp will be held in a bi-security bubble and includes three one-day and two four-day matches against Bangladesh A team. The camp is scheduled to end on October 8.

Bangladesh Cricket Board Director and Chairman of the High-Performance Unit, Naimur Rahman Durjoy, met the HP Squad at the BCB National Cricket Academy in Mirpur on Friday. The HP Chairman stressed the importance of the HP programme for the players in terms of progressing to the next level. He also reminded the players of the necessity of self-awareness in complying and maintaining the bio-secure protocol during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Youngster Akbar Ali said before leaving for Chattogram that their target was to improve themselves to be ready for the national team.

“Everyone wants to play in the national team for a long time. Our main target is to work on our problems and try to find solutions to make us better and ready for the national team,” the Under-19 World Cup-winner said.
