Bangladesh national football team skipper Jamal Bhuyan has filed a complaint against Saif Sporting Club, whom he played for in the last Bangladesh Premier League season, to the Bangladesh Football Federation regarding unpaid salary.
In his complaint letter submitted on November 2, Jamal mentioned that he is yet to receive his salary for the months of February, March, and July, which is worth Tk 16,50,000. The 2021-22 BPL season ended in early August.
Jamal said that he is the only player remaining in the Saif SC squad from last season to have not been paid.
“I sent a complaint letter to BFF regarding my missing salary from Saif Sporting Club. The details are in the complaint letter. Unfortunately, they are not giving me the salary. So, that’s why I have given this complaint letter.
“All the players who played for Saif SC last season have received their salaries. Only I haven’t. It has been three months, so it’s very unfortunate. I hope we can solve this as soon as possible,” Jamal said in a video message.
In his complaint letter, Jamal mentioned that he has tried to contact the Saif SC authorities, but all of that has fallen on deaf ears.
“I have tried to communicate with Saif SC’s Presidents (Tarafder Saif and Tarafder Ruhul Amin and General Secretary (Asadujjaman Rony) and also the Manager (Shahedul Alam Shahed) but they have not responded and cleared my dues yet,” Jamal wrote in his complaint letter addressed to BFF General Secretary Abu Nayem Shohag.
While it has been a week since Jamal submitted his complaint letter, the matter has not been resolved yet.
Saif SC opted out of professional football after the last season citing financial reasons. They will not be playing in the upcoming BPL season.
