Shaj ‘Superman’ Haque wins Cage Warriors Fly Weight

Shaj Haque, nicknamed ‘Superman’, became the first Bangladeshi to become the Champions of Cage Warriors in the Fly Weight category as he downed England’s Sam Creasey on Tuesday.

Haque, who lives in England as head coach of a physical fitness centre named ACE MMA in South Shields, beat Creasey in a battle that took place on New Year’s Eve in London.

Ahead of the clash, Haque had written on his Facebook page, “Championship weight made. Tomorrow, I aim to capture what I believe should have been mine a long time ago.”

After he won the fight, Haque was seen crying in celebration as he lifted the belt.

He will now become the first Bangladeshi to compete in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
