The Golden Jubilee of Independence 46th National 'B' Chess Championship is going to start on Wednesday at Bangladesh Chess Federation Hall-Room in the capital.
The country's 2100 and above rated players, selected players from six regions, national woman champion and five players nominated by the federation will participate in the event, a press release said.
Organised by the Bangladesh Chess Federation, the tournament will be played in a nine-round Swiss-league format and the top nine players will have the opportunity to play in the 46th National Premier Chess Championship-2021.
Five Grand Masters of the country Niaz Murshed, Mollah Abdullah Al Rakib, Reefat Bin Sattar, Ziaur Rahman, and Enamul Hossain Razib have been invited to play directly in the premier chess championship, it added.
