Bangladesh Football Federation president Kazi Salahuddin confirmed that the World Champions, Argentina, will not come to Bangladesh this year.
"Argentina will not visit Bangladesh this year as it will not possible to prepare the venue for the match. We have communicated with the Sports Ministry and sent them an official letter and what they informed us that it will not possible for them to prepare the venue by this year," Salahuddin told a local print media.
"I had, however, a doubt when we were going to make a deal with the sponsor as we have only one ground," he said.
He also confirmed that the decision was made last month, and BFF are trying to negotiate with FA to have them next year.
BFF president said earlier this year that BFF were trying to bring Argentina in Bangladesh for a friendly match.
Lionel Messi’s Argentina had visited Bangladesh in 2011 when they played a friendly match against Nigeria at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
