A five-day coach’s course of the Asian Gymnastics Union, in which coaches from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia, and Qatar participated, ended in Dhaka on Saturday.
Radiye Kizilgun, chairman of the technical committee of female gymnastics at the AGU, trained the coaches of women’s artistic gymnastics.
The course was kicked off by National Sports Council Secretary Parimal Singha. The ending ceremony and certificate-giving ceremony were held at a city hotel in Dhaka on Saturday.
Chief Guest and BGF Chairman Bashir Ahmed Mamun handed out gifts and certificates to the participants.
“Gymnastics has a bright future in Bangladesh. The boys are doing well, and hopefully, the girls will do so in the future. You must learn this game’s basics at a very young age. That’s why the coaches must be careful because if you learn wrong, then it’s difficult to fix,” Radiye said.
“We have brought a high-profile coach from South Korea from the boys, they are training under him. We are now preparing coaches for the girls,” Mamun said.
