Bangladesh restricted Australia for 121 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the second Twenty20 International of the five-match series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

Australian skipper Mathew Wade won the toss and elected to bat first in the second T20 after they failed to chase 131 runs in the first match of the series which they lost by 23 runs.

Mahedi Hasan, like in the previous match, drew the first blood by dismissing Alex Carey in the third over of the match, and the other opener Josh Philippe was also brilliantly bowled by Mustafizur Rahman to rattle the Australian top-order.

Mitchel Marsh and Moises Henriques formed a partnership of 57 runs from 52 balls in the third wicket which gave the Australians some stability but Shakib Al Hasan gave the Tigers a timely breakthrough by bowling out Henriques for 30.

Bangladesh comeback strong after splitting the pair and Australia kept losing wickets after that in regular intervals.

Two left-arm pacers, Mustafizur Rahman and Shoriful Islam have done the trick for Bangladesh as together they shared five wickets between them in eight overs they bowled where they gave away only 50 runs.

Mustafiz picked 3-23, with a double blow in the 18th over where he dismissed Mathew Wade and Ashton Agar in two consecutive deliveries while Shoriful picked 2-27.

Mitchel Marsh who scored 45 runs was the highest scorer for the Aussies.
