Ban Tech Limited has secured the media rights of the Bangladesh Cricket Board including satellite, digital OTT and DTH platforms for the home series of Tigers up to 2023 at the cost of Tk 161.5 crore.
The board’s media committee chairman Jalal Yunus disclosed the information at a press conference in Dhaka on Tuesday.
With the deal, Ban Tech secured the media rights of Bangladesh’s home matches between May 18, 2021 and October 5, 2023 when Tigers are scheduled to play seven Tests, 18 ODIs and 19 T20 internationals at home.
Meanwhile, satellite television channels Gazi TV and T Sports attained the rights from Ban Tech Limited to broadcast in Bangladesh three ICC ODI Championship matches of the upcoming ODI series between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in Dhaka on May 23, 25 and 28.
