Motivated Bangladesh registered their third successive victory in the fourth edition of the Bangabandhu Cup International Kabaddi tournament beating Indonesia by 59-19 points held at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium on Wednesday.
After beating South Korea and Malaysia in the first two matches, Arduzzaman Munshi and Co. continued their winning spree edging past Indonesia to go atop the table.
Bangladesh's technical efficiency proved too much for the Indonesian who earned their first point when the scoreboard showed Bangladesh had 25. The first lonas for Bangladesh was achieved in the sixth minute and the hosts added another four before the last whistle. Bangladesh led the first half by 35-2 points, reports UNB.
Mizanur Rahman tormented the Indonesian defence with the same level of prowess he has been producing from the tourney and recorded 18 points to his credit. He was the runaway leader for the Man of the Match award and duly got it.
Yasin scored the second-highest 10 points for the red and green flag bearers.
Bangladesh will play their fourth match against Poland today at 10 at the same venue and a win against Poland will secure the ticket for the semis.
