Bangladesh beat US to move into the second round of ICC Under 19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 as the group toppers at Willowmoore Park in Benoni, South Africa.
Winning the toss, US opted to bat first, but Bangladeshi bowlers restricted them on 103-4. With the ball, Bangladesh skipper Disha Biswas took two wickets and Marufa Akter took the other.
Shorna Akhter scored 22 off just 14 balls and Rabeya Khatun scored 18 while chasing. Bangladesh won the won the match by five wickets.
With the win, Bangladesh move onto the next round unbeaten in all their group matches as the group toppers being drawn in the group of Australia, Sri Lanka and US.
