The third and final match of the three-match One Day International series between Bangladesh Women’s National Cricket team and India resulted in a tie on Friday after India were bowled out for 225 in return of Bangladesh’s 225 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
India had won the first match of the series before Bangladesh came back to level the series winning the second.
The series was tied 1-1 before entering the third and final match which was tied, thus the series ended without a winner.
This is the first time in Bangladesh cricket that a bilateral series ended as tied.
Bangladesh made 225-4, their second-highest ODI total depending on Fargana Hoque’s 107, which is also the first-ever century in Bangladesh Womens’ cricket.
In return, India needed one run from four balls in the penultimate over of Marufa Akter.
Marufa bowled a full-length delivery, which Meghna Singh tried to cut but carried an outside edge to the keeper instead and the dramatic match ended in a tie.
