The morning session was fruitful for Bangladesh but the second session of day three at Chattogram belongs to Sri Lanka as they managed to pick three wickets after the lunch break.

Bangladesh were 220-3 at Tea Break on day three at Zahur Ahmed Stadium in the first Test of the two-match series against Sri Lanka on Tuesday; Tamim Iqbal was unbeaten on 133 runs and Mushfiqur Rahim was not out on 14 runs.

Mahmudul Hasan Joy was the first man to get out, Ashida Fernando was bowling through the leg-stamp line continuously and the young opener just brushed his glove instinctively into the ball. He was out for 58 runs, after posting an opening stand of 162 runs, the highest partnership by the openers against Sri Lanka.

Najmul Hossain Shanto did not last long, he was out for just two runs and Mominul Haque was also bowled for just two runs by Kasun Rajitha who replaced Vishwa Fernando as a concussion substitute.

Bangladesh still trailing by 177 runs, Sri Lanka were all-out for 397 in their first innings.
