Bangladesh Women’s national football team thumped five-time champions India in dominating win in the final match of the group stage of the Women’s SAFF Championship 2022 at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal on Tuesday.
The forwards starred against India as skipper Sabina Khatun, Mosammat Jahan Shopna, and Srimoti Sarker all combined for three goals. Shopna netted twice, while Srimoti scored one to complete an astounding victory.
Group A champions Bangladesh, who had already confirmed their semi-spot, will now take on Bhutan at the same venue on Friday.
