Bangladesh wrapped up the South African innings for 154, owing to a brilliant bowling effort headed by speedster Taskin Ahmed.
Taskin Ahmed picked up his second five-wicket haul, decimating the South African batting line-up as they were bowled out for 154, with 13 overs remaining. He returned with figures of 5-35.
An all-around bowling performance saw all the bowlers other than Mustafizur Rahman take wickets at Centurion. Shoriful dismissed Russie Van Der Dussen, Shakib picked up two wickets and Mehidy Hasan Miraz took the important wicket of Quinton De Kock.
South Africa were dwindling at the halfway mark, with 107 runs on the board and 4 wickets in hand.
David Miller, who was batting on 16, had Keshav Maharaj company. Miller tried to tuck away a length delivery on the leg stump but ended up gloving it to the keeper, giving Taskin his fourth wicket.
For his fifth, Taskin bowled it full and swung it away to take the outside edge of Kagiso Rabada.
In came Lungi Ngidi at nine to give Maharaj company. Ngidi didn’t give the scorers any trouble as he went for nought, skying one up off a canny delivery by Shakib.
Maharaj scored 28 runs with four boundaries but he was run out by skipper Tamim Iqbal after a mix-up with Tabraiz Shamsi, bringing South Africa’s innings to a close at 154.
