Bangladesh to co-host 2031 ICC World Cup

Bangladesh will co-host the 2031 ICC World Cup with India, International Cricket Council announced on Tuesday.

Bangladesh had previously co-hosted the 2011 ICC World Cup with India and Sri Lanka.

Bangladesh had bid for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, but that has been awarded to Pakistan. Bangladesh had also bid for the 2024 T20 World Cup alongside Sri Lanka, but that has been awarded to India and Sri Lanka.

Among other events, USA and West Indies will host the 2024 T20 World Cup, 2027 ICC World Cup will be hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia, Australia and New Zealand will host the 2028 T20 World Cup, India will host the 2029 Champions Trophy, and England, Scotland and Ireland will host the 2030 T20 World Cup.
