Bangladesh U-23 football team left Dhaka for Uzbekistan to take part in the qualifying round of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup on Saturday morning.
Bangladesh will play against Kuwait, Uzbekistan, and Saudi Arabia in Group D.
All the matches will be played at JAR Stadium, Tashkent.
Since Uzbekistan already qualified for the final tournament as the host country, their matches will not be taken into account when calculating the group ranking.
A total of 42 teams entered the competition, out of that 16 teams will qualify to play in the final tournament; they are 11 group champions and four best runners-up and host Uzbekistan.
