Bangladesh Cricket Board has suspended Pakistan U-19 cricket team’s tour of Bangladesh as a fresh lockdown would be imposed in Bangladesh amid surging COVID-19 fatalities.
Confirming the matter, BCB chief executive officer Nizam Uddin Chowdhury told journalists on Sunday that they were in contact with the Pakistan Cricket Board to play the match at any convenient time once the situation improves.
The Pakistan U-19 team was scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on April 11 to play one four-day and five 50-over matches.
Later, the tour was rescheduled to April 17 after Bangladesh announced a week-long lockdown from April 5, to curb the spread of a second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
