Border Guard Bangladesh beat Bangladesh Ansar 37-30 to win the Independence Day Handball Tournament 2022 at the Shahid Monsur Ali Handball Stadium on Sunday.
BGB led 15-12 goals in the first half and managed to score 22 more in the second-half. Ansar pulled it back by scoring 30 goals but it wasn’t enough in the end.
BGB goalkeeper Tariqur was adjudged player of the tournament and Mehedi was the highest scorer for BGB with 11 goals in the final.
Bangladesh Handball Federation concluded the tournament with the prize giving ceremony on Sunday.
Olympic Association of Bangladesh Secretary General Syed Shahed Reza presented the awards as the chief guest.
