BPL: Raza replaces Fletcher as concussion substitute

Sikandar Raza replaced Andre Fletcher as the concussion substitute after the Caribbean batsman got hit by a bouncing delivery from Rejaur Rahman during the BPL match between Chattogram Challengers and Khulna Tigers on Monday.

The incident took place during the seventh over of the match while Fletcher was batting chasing a target of 191 runs posted by the Challengers.

Fletcher fell on the ground as a rising delivery from Rejaur hit his neck under the helmet. He was later moved out in a stretcher.

Monzur Hossain Chowdhury, a physician at the Bangladesh Cricket Board, told the reporters, "He is under observation. The doctor and the physio are assessing him."

Khulna Tigers Manager Nafis Iqbal said, "He is out of danger but we are taking him to Evercare Hospital as a part of precaution."

Sikandar Raza came to bat in place of Fletcher for the team.

This is the first case of concussion substitute in the BPL.
