Chattogram Challengers claimed a 15-run win against Dhaka Dominators in a low-scoring dead rubber of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on Tuesday.
The match had little value for either team as they have already been ruled out of qualifying for the playoffs, with Dhaka sitting at fifth and Chattogram last prior to the match.
The result kept Dhaka at fifth but allowed Chattogram to go past Khulna into sixth.
That seemingly transpired onto the field as well as Chattogram, batting first, could only muster 118-8 in their 20 overs after losing five wickets for just 28 runs.
Ziaur Rahman top-scored for Chattogram with 34, while Usman Khan scored 30. For Dhaka, Arafat Sunny starred with the ball to pick up four wickets.
In reply, Dhaka stuttered from the beginning and turned the easy chase into a steep one, and eventually fell down the slope as by the time the final over came, they required 19 runs with two wickets in hand.
In the final over, they could only add three more runs, losing a wicket, to ensure that they lost by 15 runs.
