Bangladesh failed to avoid a follow-on in the Dhaka Test against Pakistan on Wednesday.
With the tourists having enforced the follow-on, the Tigers will now bat again with at least 82 overs left on Day 5.
Pakistan spinner Sajid Khan bagged eight wickets conceding 42 runs, his best in Tests so far.
Bangladesh tumbled for 87/10 -- their joint-lowest total in Tests at home, and fell short of 14 runs from avoiding the follow-on.
At the end of the rain-hit fourth day, Bangladesh were at 76 for 7 in 26 overs. On the fifth-day morning, Bangladesh were able to bat only 28 minutes and lost the last three wickets only for 11 runs.
Bangladesh’s lowest Test total at home, 87, came against the West Indies in 2002 at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka.
However, 87 for 10 is now the lowest in Mirpur. The previous lowest at this venue was 110 which came against Sri Lanka in 2018.
For Bangladesh, Shakib Al Hasan was the highest run scorer, with his 33 off 54 balls, while Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 30 off 50 balls.
Apart from them, no Bangladeshi batter was able to reach a double-digit score.
Four Bangladeshi batters were sent back to the dressing room for a duck each, while three others were dismissed for a score less than six.
Bangladesh lost the first Test in Chattogram by eight wickets despite the maiden Test ton by Liton Das, and Mushfiqur Rahim’s 91. Taijul Islam did well taking seven wickets— his second-best in Tests.
Abid Ali, Abdullah Shafique, Hassan Ali and Shaheen Afridi helped Pakistan seal the match.
