England scored 166-4 in 20 overs after being sent to bat first against New Zealand in the first semifinal of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 at Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
Openers Joss Buttler (29) and Jonny Bairstow (13) gave England a modest start but it was Dawid Malan (41) and Moeen Ali who steered them to a decent total.
Moeen was unbeaten on 51 from 37 deliveries with three fours and two sixes.
Liam Livingstone also played a cameo of 17 runs to take England beyond 150 runs.
Tim Southee, Ish Sodhi, James Neesham and Adam Milne took one wicket each.
