The three-match T20I series between Bangladesh and hosts USA has become uncertain following a major storm ripped through the US city of Houston, the hosts of the matches, last Thursday.

Bangladesh national cricket team reached the US city of Houston amid huge rain and natural disaster on Friday morning to play a three-match preparatory series with the USA to adjust to the local conditions ahead of the next- month's T20 World Cup engagements in the USA and West Indies.

Bangladesh, which is scheduled to play three T20 matches against the USA on May 21, 23 and 25 in Houston, is now in doubt as the majority of the temporary infrastructure recently installed at the match venue, Prairie View Cricket Complex,  has been destroyed, reports UNB.

According to CNN, seven people were found dead following the effects of hurricane and natural disaster in Houston.

Some nine lacs houses in Houston city had no electricity connection last Friday, it said.

However, Bangladesh will also play two more official practice matches ahead of the World Cup.

The Tigers will start their main World Cup campaign taking on Sri Lanka in a group match on June 8 in Dallas.

Their second World Cup group match will be against South Africa in New York on June 10.

The team will then travel to the West Indies to play their remaining two group matches against Netherlands and Nepal on June 13 and 17 respectively.
