Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by 4 wickets in the first One-Day International match of the three-match series on Wednesday at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram.
Winning the toss and batting first, Afghanistan were all-out for 215 runs in 49.1 overs.
Chasing 216, Bangladesh lost their top six for only 45 runs but Afif Hossain and Mehidy Hasan Miraz added 174 runs in the seventh wicket to hand the Tigers a glorious win.
Bangladesh reached the target in 48.5 overs with four wickets in hand.
Afif was not out on 93 runs and Miraz was unbeaten on 81 runs.
Bangladesh lead the series 1-0.
