The defending champion Iconic Idealz started the second edition of "Batchmates 03-05 Cricket Blast 2021" tournament with a victory on Friday.
On the opening day of the tournament, Iconic Idealz played Team Spartan in the first match of their group stage.
A total of 28 teams participated from all over the country.
“This year, we are in the Death Group because last season's two semifinals, Team Spartan and Pabna Royals, are in our group. Although we have crossed the 1st hurdle, we still have a long way to go. We are more focused now," Iconic Idealz Founder and Co-owner Zakaria Tonoy said.
"We have tried to form a more balanced team this year and that has started to show results for us. Hopefully, we can finish this year in the same way as last year." Captain, Ami Ahmed said and expressed his satisfaction.
The 7-day tournament is being held at 3 grounds of Dhaka Residential Model College (DRMC) at Mohammadpur in the capital.
