Virat Kohli produced an incredible knock on Sunday to ensure India got off to a winning start in the T20 World Cup as he led the side to a four-wicket win against Pakistan in Melbourne.
Kohli stayed unbeaten on 82 off 53 deliveries, hitting six fours and four sixes, but the last two overs was yet another indication of his pure cricketing talent.
India needed 28 off the last eight deliveries. Kohli, on strike against Haris Rauf, sent the Pakistani pacer to the stands with a brilliant six over long-on, before another incredible six over fine leg in the final delivery.
In the final over, Kohli hit a six off a no-ball from Mohammad Nawaz to reduce the equation from 13 off 3 deliveries to six off three.
From there on, some panic from the Pakistani bowlers and a final-ball four from Ravi Ashwin took India over the line.
Earlier, Pakistan managed 159-8, courtesy of fifties from Shan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed.
