Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman will have INR 2 crore as base price in the upcoming player's auction for Indian Premier League scheduled to take place in February.
The IPL authorities on Saturday informed through a media release that a total of 1,214 players, including 896 Indian and 318 overseas players, have signed up to be part of the IPL 2022 Player Auction.
The two-day Mega Auction will see 10 teams bidding for some of the finest talents in world cricket. The players list incorporates 270 capped, 903 uncapped and 41 associate players.
As two new IPL franchises, Lucknow and Ahmedabad are going to take part in this year's IPL while more players are likely to get picked in this lucrative franchise based T20 league.
Shakib and Mustafiz, who played for Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals respectively in the last edition, are placed with INR 2 crore base price along with some of the top cricketers of the world like Mitchel Marsh, Steven Smith, Faf Du Plessis and many more.
