Nobel Dey from the Independent University of Bangladesh won the gold medal in the Men’s cycling event in the ongoing Bangabandhu Inter-University Sports Championship 2022 on Friday.
Nobel, who is studying in the eighth semester at IUB deemed his achievement as 'one of the proudest moments of his life’.
“This is one of the proudest moments of my life. A lot of hard work went into the preparations and it’s great to see the result. Sincere gratitude to the organizers of this fantastic event. We hope to see many more of these in the future,” he said after winning the gold medal.
The gold medal-winning cyclist received the medal from the State Minister for Youth and Sports, Zahid Ahsan Russel after the event at Hatirjheel in Dhaka.
The championship has been organized this year to mark the golden jubilee of independence and the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
