Liton Kumar Das has jumped up nine places from 41 to 32 in the latest ICC men’s ODI rankings
Liton,who was ranked 41st before the series, has accumulated 46 points after the ODI series against Afghanistan taking his tally to 592.
The right-handed opening batsman scored 223 runs in the three-match series including a century and a fifty in the second and third match.
Das,dropped one place to 42 after his duck in the first ODI against Afghanistan but his scintillating century in the second match and his 86 in the final encounter boosted his climb to 32nd position.
Liton is now the fourth highest-ranked Bangladeshi batter in the ICC ODI men’s rankings after he overtook Mahmudullah Riyad.
Unlike Liton, veterans Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim dropped down as Tamim sent from 20 to 23 losing 16 points and Mushfiqur descended by a couple of positions, sitting at 13 with 710 points.
Bangladeshi bowlers all faced demotion in the ODI rankings.Mehidy Miraz (7th with 675 points) and Mustafizur Rahman (16th with 623 points) dropped down byone position and Shakib Al Hasan went down by two to 12th with 636 points.
Shakib Al Hasan sits at the top of the ODI rankings for all-rounders with a whopping 400 points with Mohammad Nabi in second with 295.
