Bangladesh cricket team has defeated Afghanistan by 61 runs in the first match of the two-T20I series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
Mahmudullah won the toss and elected to bat first, a half-century from Liton Das helped the Tigers to put up a challenging total of 155-8 in 20 overs.
In reply, Afghanistan were all-out for 94 runs in 17.4 overs.
Nasum Ahmed took four wickets for 10 runs.
The second match of the series will take place on Saturday.
