Bangladesh batsman Liton Das is out of the remainder of their One-Day International series against Zimbabwe, skipper Tamim Iqbal confirmed.

Liton, who scored 81 off 89 balls in the first ODI in Harare, was retired hurt during Bangladesh’s innings after he seemingly injured his hamstring.

The batsman could not walk as he was taken off the ground on a stretcher. After that, he was sent to the hospital for further tests and scans.

Tamim, after the match, confirmed that Liton could no longer play this series due to his injury.

Bangladesh lost the first ODI by five wickets, after Sikandar Raza and Innocent Kaia hit tons to take them past Bangladesh’s total of 303.

The second ODI is at the same venue on Sunday.
