Bangladesh left-arm spinner Mosharraf Hossain Rubel passed away on Tuesday at his home in Dhaka.
His death was confirmed by his wife to 'The Business Post'.
Rubel, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour, battled through the illness since 2019.
After being diagnosed in 2019, he received treatment in Singapore. He also visited India for treatment in February.
His health declined in March and he was admitted to a private hospital in Dhaka, where he had to be admitted in the ICU.
But his health had improved in recent days and he was taken home on Friday.
Rubel played five One-Day Internationals for Bangladesh and was regular face in the domestic circuit.
