Bangladesh spin bowling consultant Mushtaq Ahmed urged the Tigers spinners to keep faith in their ability in a bid to rule the batters in any part of the world.

"The spinners that Bangladesh have, generally they are very, very good spinners. They are match winner and won many matches," he said in a press conference after Bangladesh's practice session in Lahore, reports BSS.

"It is a great honour for me to work with them. There are some good guys. They listen to what the coaches say. I am having a good time with them. They can learn well. I hope I can make a difference."

Mushtaq Ahmed joined the coaching squad of Bangladesh before the T20 World Cup. The Pakistan legend's touch is believed to change the country's spinners, especially leg-spinner Rishad. However, he didn't continue as Bangladesh's spin bowling coach after the tournament as he took up England's job.

As Bangladesh toured Pakistan, Mushtaq agreed to be available to work with the spinners on an interim basis but the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is looking to hire a permanent service from him.

"They should keep their basics right. You must have faith in your ability. When you go to the competition your belief in yourselves should be strong. If your belief is strong, the rest of the things will be fixed. My job will be to make them believe that they can beat anyone."

He also emphasized on to fix tactical and technical aspects to survive for a long time.

"Tactical and technical things matter. Tactically you have to tell your spinners how to use the angle, read the pitch, where to bowl, how to arrange the fielding for a batter; No matter how experienced you are, you will need to learn these."
