Bangladesh left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed broke into the top 10 of the ICC T20I bowler rankings as he reached his career-best position of 10th in the latest rankings update.
Bangladesh batsman Liton Das also gained big as he climbed 26 steps to reach 49th.
This came after his performance in Bangladesh’s T20I series against Afghanistan earlier this month, when he picked up four wickets for just 10 runs in the first match of the two-match series.
Before the start of the series, Nasum was at 27th in the T20I bowling rankings. But after that performance, Nasum has moved up 17 steps to reach 10th. He currently has 637 rating points.
Shak Mahedi Hasan is the second-highest ranked Bangladesh bowler as he currently sits 13th with 622 rating points.
Shakib Al Hasan dropped down four steps to 19th, with Mustafizur Rahman climbing a step to 21st.
Among the batsmen, Mohammad Naim dropped down two steps to 27th, whereas Mahmudullah climbed three steps to 31st.
Afif Hossain dropped down eight steps to 83rd, while Shakib dropped down nine steps to 85th.
Shakib held on to his second position in the all-rounder rankings.
