Mahmudullah Riyad has been excluded from the Bangladesh national team squad for their first two one-day internationals against Ireland.
Taijul Islam has also been dropped from the squad after he played in the England series.
Yasir Ali Chowdhury, Nasum Ahmed, and Shoriful Islam have returned to the ODI side, while Zakir Hasan has been called up to this format for the first time.
Reportedly, Mahmudullah has been rested for the Ireland ODIs to check on some young players.
Yasir returns to the ODI squad after a brief hiatus as he was in the squad for Bangladesh’s ODI series against India. Shoriful last played in this format last year against Zimbabwe.
Nasum also returns after a one-series break as he played in the series against India.
Zakir has played for Bangladesh in the other two formats. He played his only T20I in 2018, and made his Test debut against India last year, playing two Tests, where he hit a century and a fifty.
The ODI series will be played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, with the first match being on March 18, followed by matches on March 20 and 23.
