Bangladesh wicketkeeper batsman Nurul Hasan Sohan underwent surgery at a hospital in Singapore on Monday and is expected to be out for four weeks, Bangladesh Cricket Board confirmed.
Sohan, who captained Bangladesh’s T20I team against Zimbabwe, was ruled out after the second T20I due to a finger injury.
BCB Chief Sports Physician Dr Debashis Chowdhury, who has accompanied Sohan to Singapore, said, “A closed reduction and pinning procedure was performed on Sohan’s left index finger by hand surgeon Dr Anthony Foo at the Raffles Hospital this afternoon. Recovery is estimated at three to four weeks.”
The 28-year-old will catch the flight back home on Monday.
