Pakistan national cricket team will arrive in Dhaka Saturday ahead of their Test and Twenty20 international series against Bangladesh.

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam and veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik will not travel with the side as they will arrive later on November 16.

Pakistan ended their World Cup campaign on Thursday after Australia beat them by five wickets in the second semi-final of the tournament.

Upon arriving, the Pakistan team will be tested for Covid-19. If their whole contingent tests negative, they will be able to start training from the next day. If such happens, Pakistan will become the first team to tour Bangladesh without a mandatory quarantine session.

The T20I series will start on November 19, with the second and third match on November 20 and November 22. The first Test will start at Chattogram on November 26, with the second Test will start on December 4 at Dhaka.

Pakistan announced an 18-man squad for their T20I series against Bangladesh, where all the players from the World Cup squad were included, except for Mohammad Hafeez.
