Three drop catches while defending 116 on a flat surface in Twenty20 will not help any team and exactly the same happened to Bangladesh as they lost the second T20I of the series by eight wickets.

Batting first, Bangladesh scored 115-9 in 20 overs.

In reply, Afghanistan could lose a wicket even before scoring the first run when Hazratullah Zazai skyed one against Mohammad Nasum's left-arm spin. The bowler attempted a caught and bowled and put aside every other fielder but ended up missing the catch.

Zazai eventually remained not out for 59 runs from 45 balls where he hit three boundaries and five sixes.

Mohammad Naim's dismal show continued even after his batting, he dropped the catch of Usman Ghani in the deep square leg and watched the ball crossing the ropes after slipping from his hands.

Affif Hossain also put down Ghani an over before, in both cases, the bowler was Shak Mahedi Hasan.

Dropping catches followed by poor batting cost the Tigers dearly as Afghans finished off the chase in 17.4 overs when Zazai hammered Nasum for a six through the midwicket, the same bowler who gave him life in the third ball of the innings.

Bangladesh lost the second T20I by eight wickets, which ended the two-match series 1-1 which means no changes in positions for both the teams in the ranking table.
