What was supposed to be a day full of action in the Bangladesh Premier League 2022, was ruined by rain as the second match of the day between Minister Dhaka and Comilla Victorians was abandoned due to rain.
Both teams received a point each, meaning that Comilla regained top spot with nine points, whereas Dhaka have seven.
Earlier, the match between Sylhet Sunrisers and Fortune Barishal was abandoned due to continuous drizzles at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
The rain started around 12:45 PM, 45 minutes prior to the start of the first match. The match was called off two hours after the scheduled start, but there was hope for the second match as the rain stopped and covers were being removed.
Players from Comilla and Dhaka even started doing some practice, but then came the rain again, and it never stopped, leading to the match being called off.
The match between Sylhet and Barishal was the first one in this BPL to be called off due to rain, and just like London buses, one followed another.
This was the last day of action in Dhaka before the Sylhet round, as six matches will be played at Sylhet from February 7 to 9.
