Following the suspension of Indian Premier League, Bangladesh cricketer Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman returned to the country from India on Thursday.
The duo landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 4:00 pm via a chartered flight arranged by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, said a Bangladesh Cricket Board official.
The two players ascended the flight from Ahmedabad at 1:00 pm, said the official.
After their return, the two cricketers were taken to a hotel for quarantine, though the duration of their quarantine period is yet to be decided.
The government had earlier decided that all returnees from India would go for a mandatory 14-day quarantine.
The BCB officials said they were waiting for a decision from the Directorate General of Health Services to see if their quarantine period would be relaxed.
Shakib and Mustafiz are part of the Bangladesh Preliminary Squad for a three-match one-day international series against Sri Lanka, beginning on May 23.
