Amid criticism for his political career and off-form on the field, former Bangladesh captain and all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan, announced retirement from Tests and T20Is.
Shakib announced it on Thursday in Kanpur ahead of the second Test against India.
He, however, will play a home Test series against South Africa in October.
