Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan returned to the top 10 of the ICC One-Day International bowler’s rankings on Wednesday as he currently stands 10th with 618 points.

He jumped up three steps to enter the top 10 following Bangladesh’s three-match ODI series against Afghanistan, where he picked up four wickets with an economy rate of just 2.88.

In the final match of the series, Shakib gave away just 13 runs in his 10 overs and picked up a wicket, the joint second-cheapest bowling figure for Bangladesh. The other two (3-11 and 1-13) also belong to Shakib.

Shakib had previously climbed up to fifth place following Bangladesh’s three-match ODI series against England earlier this year.

He also has had an increase in his rating point tally in the all-rounder rankings as Shakib currently sits top there with 371 points, 73 more than second-placed Mohammad Nabi.

Among the other Bangladesh bowlers, Mustafizur Rahman has dropped down a couple of steps to 22nd, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz has moved up one step to 28th.

Both Taskin Ahmed and Taijul Islam have had big leaps as the former went up five steps to 45th, while the latter climbed up nine places to 56th. Ebadot Hossain dropped one step to 99th.

In the batting rankings, Mushfiqur Rahim kept his place at 18th, while Tamim Iqbal dropped one step to 32nd.

Liton Das, following his fifty in the third ODI against Afghanistan, moved up three steps to 38th, while Shakib moved up one step to 34th.

Among other noticeable global changes, Travis Head moved up two steps and now sits only nine points behind top-placed Kane Williamson in Test batting rankings. Stuart Broad has moved up four steps in the Test bowling rankings and currently sits sixth.
