Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has reached another milestone in his career as he became the highest wicket-taker of the T20 World Cup surpassing Pakistan's Shahid Afridi on Sunday.
Before the start of the match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, Shakib was on par with Afridi with 39 wickets in the T20 World Cup.
Shakib, in his first over with the ball; bowled Pathum Nissanka with a clever undercutter and surpassed Afridi's record. In the same over, he removed Avishka Fernando with an almost identical delivery, taking the wicket tally to 41.
